PH Embassy Brings Good News to Filipinos in Finland

HELSINKI 13 Feburary 2020 – The Philippine Embassy in Oslo invited the Filipino community in Finland for a dinner at Paisano, Helsinki’s award-winning Filipino restaurant, on 11 February 2020.
Philippine Ambassador to Norway Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission and Consul General Mariel Algabre, Minister Raul Dado of the soon-to-open Philippine Embassy in Stockholm, and Philippine Consul to General Helsinki Jyrki Kupila. The Filipino community leaders welcomed the good news from the Philippine Embassy, such as the continuing healthy economy of the Philippines; the Embassy’s programs to promote the orderly employment of Filipino nurses and skilled workers in Finland; the Philippine Government’s active and timely measures to address the situation of the corona virus, including the protection of overseas Filipinos; the opening of the Philippine Embassy in Stockholm, Sweden; and the announcement of the Finnish government to open an Embassy in Manila.
The warm gathering was made more pleasant with the delicious and creative Filipino dishes prepared by the chefs of Paisano restaurant. END
