BUSAN 13 February 2020 — The Philippine Embassy in South Korea successfully conducted its two-day consular outreach mission on 07 and 08 February 2020 in the city of Busan, the second-largest city in South Korea after Seoul.

The Philippine Embassy’s six-member consular team, led by Consul General to Seoul Christian L. De Jesus, extended 363 consular services including passport applications, civil registration, NBI clearances, and notarization. Philippine Overseas Labor Office/Overseas Workers Welfare Administration and Pag-IBIG representatives accompanied the team to provide assistance and information on their respective services.

The consular outreach mission, the Philippine Embassy’s first for the year, was held at the Choryang Catholic Church in cooperation with the Busan Filipino Community Center and its volunteers.

Busan, which is 325 kilometers south of Seoul, is home to more than 2,000 Filipinos. Apart from the community in Busan, Filipinos living in nearby Gimhae, Ulsan, Gwangju, and Geoje also took advantage of the visiting mobile service. END
