PRAGUE 19 February 2020 – Philippine Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ombra T. Jainal led the Philippine Embassy team in marketing a more fun holiday and retirement in the Philippines for young and senior citizens of the Czech Republic during the Holiday World 2020 at PVA Expo Praha from 13 to 16 February 2020.
At the tourism trade fair, Ambassador Jainal met with Sales Department Head Marie Bardounová of Delfin Travel, a Czech company specializing in tours for citizens over 55 years old. Ms. Bardounová was pleased to know of the Philippine Government’s Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV) program and assured the Ambassador that the program will be conveyed to the company’s product management division.
Visitors to the Philippine booth, especially those who have traveled to different destinations in the Philippines and experienced the hospitality of Filipinos, were interested to know more on the benefits of retiring in the Philippines.
An Austrian citizen expressed his excitement to finally be able to retire in the Philippines with the SRRV program. He stated that it was perhaps serendipitous that he passed through the door where the SRRV program standee was located as he had been looking for ways to stay longer in the Philippines for some time now. He previously visited Cebu and Bohol.
Some visitors were surprised to know that they can retire in the Philippines as early as 35 years old and with only a minimum amount of investment.
