NEW YORK 02 March 2020 – Philippine Consul General to New York Claro S. Cristobal met with the members of the Filipino-American Press Club of New York (FAPCNY) during the Consulate General Press Hour held at the Philippine Center last 21 February.
Questions were asked by the media on various topics, such as overseas registration and voting, Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) updates in the Philippines, Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour, and immigration control in the Philippines.
The media group shared their programs for 2020 such as professional development activities, such as scholarship programs, seminars, and trainings that they are planning launch. They will also undertake a campaign for the community on responsible sharing of news on social media. The group committed to support the upcoming Filipino Restaurant Week 2020 this May spearheaded by the Philippine Consulate General in New York and the Philippine Consulate General in Washington. END
