PH as “World’s Leading Diving Destination” at ASTINDO Travel Fair 2020 in Jakarta

JAKARTA 02 March 2020 – The Philippines as the “World’s Leading Diving Destination” by the World Travel Awards 2019 was highlighted by the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) and PT Intrareps Jakarta during the ASTINDO Travel Fair 2020 from 21 to 23 February 2020 at the Jakarta Convention Center.
DOT’s promotional booth featuring a photo booth of Philippines’ best diving sites was a hit among the thousands of visitors who took advantage of the beautiful backdrop posted in their respective Instagram accounts.
The event was one of the biggest tourist destination forums and expos in Indonesia, where the travel and tourism industry meet directly with consumers to provide information access to traveling to various domestic and international tourist destinations. It also offered various travel packages, including pilgrimage tours with special value to overseas and Indonesian destinations, best offer fares from selected leading international airlines, and one-stop shopping for whole vacation plans.
ASTINDO Travel Fair 2020 celebrated its 10th year with 16 participating airlines including Philippine Airlines, some tourism promotion agencies (NTO) of different countries such as Cambodia, India, Japan, Korea, Macau, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Taiwan. Then there are also various cruise liners that operate regionally and internationally, and around 44 travel agents participated in the event, with more than 150,000 visitors and guests. END
