TORONTO 02 March 2020 – Philippine Consul General to Toronto Orontes V. Castro had a lunch meeting with the Director of George Brown College (GBC) Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts, Chef John Higgins on 13 February 2020 at the Chefs’ House.

The Chefs’ House is the signature restaurant of the prestigious culinary school, where students gain hands-on experience in the culinary field. Also present in the meeting is fellow Filipino Ms. Arleen Galano who is the Administrative Assistant of the culinary school.

Consul General Castro and Chef Higgins discussed possible collaborations that will feature Philippine cuisine and Filipino chefs as part of the Consulate’s cultural diplomacy program. END
