PH Consul General in Toronto Meets University of Toronto Vice-Provost

TORONTO 03 March 2020 – Philippine Consul General to Toronto Orontes Castro paid a courtesy call on University of Toronto International Student Experience Vice-Provost, Associate Vice-President and Professor Joseph Wong on 24 February 2020.
Among the issues discussed during the meeting were the plan to teach Filipino language at the university’s ASEAN Center with the support of the Filipino community in Toronto, as well as future collaborative projects between University of Toronto Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Associate Professor Dr. Tammy Sage, and professors of the University of the Philippines in Los Banos (UPLB).
The meeting was also a follow up of the previous meeting that Consul General Castro, UPLB Chancellor Fernando Sanchez, Vice-Chancellor Rex Demafelis and Vice-Chancellor Portia Lapitan had with University of Toronto officials in November 2019. END
