PH Consul General to Toronto Calls on Baguio City Mayor

TORONTO 24 January 2020 – The Philippine Consul General in Toronto Orontes V. Castro called on Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong in his office on 23 January 2020 at City Hall Loop, Baguio City.
Baguio City Councilor Leila Sembrano and Filipino Canadian Association (FCA) of Vaughan President Erlinda Insigne also attended the meeting.
Mayor Magalong updated Consul General Castro on the recently approved redevelopment plan of Baguio City that includes an amusement park, improvement of the City’s waste management, and to enlarge the city’s airport capacity. He emphasized that improving the economic and cultural ties under the sister city twinning agreement between the City of Baguio and the City of Vaughan (Canada) is among his top priorities. Consul General Castro was presented by the Mayor with a symbolic key to the City of Baguio. END
