Bermuda Police Commissioner Welcomes Positive Role of Filipinos

OTTAWA 05 March 2020 — Bermuda Police Commissioner Stephen Corbishley received Philippine Embassy in Ottawa Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III at the former’s office in Hamilton, Bermuda on 02 March 2020.
During their meeting, Corbishley provided an update on the peace and order situation in the island and expressed optimism on the positive role of Filipinos in Bermuda who have kept their distance from criminal activities.
There are approximately 1,121 Filipinos in Bermuda, representing 1.75 percent of the island’s population of approximately 63,779.
The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa headed by Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia undertakes regular consular outreach missions to Bermuda in order to provide passport and other consular services to Filipinos residing or working in the island. END
