PH Ambassasor to Ottawa Meets CA-PH Interparliamentary Friendship Group

OTTAWA 06 March 2020 – Philippine Ambassador to Ottawa Petronila P. Garcia, upon the invitation of Member of Parliament Kevin Lamoureux, attended and addressed a meeting of the Canada-Philippines Interparliamentary Friendship Group at Parliament Hill on 27 February 2020.

Member of Parliament Kevin Lamoureux, who remains actively engaged in the Embassy’s activities, is currently the Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada and to the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons.

In addressing the group, Ambassador Garcia underscored the excellent bilateral relations between the Philippines and Canada and emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional linkages through constant dialogues and engagements with the Embassy and their counterparts in the Philippines as well.
