PH Consul General to Los Angeles Welcomes UP Alums Officers

LOS ANGELES 10 March 2020 – Philippine Consul General to Los Angeles Adelio Angelito S. Cruz welcomed the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Greater Los Angeles (UPAAGLA) President Ethel Rubio and nine other officers of the Association for a courtesy call on 25 February 2020.

Consul General Cruz, who is also a UP alumnus, commended UPAAGLA’s commitment to fostering closer ties among UP alumni and further empowering them to become more competitive through networking and capacity-building activities.  The Consul General also took the opportunity to encourage the Association to actively participate in the Consulate General’s forthcoming activities, especially in the Philippine Independence Day Concert in Washington D.C. in June 2020, Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour in July 2020, as well as the U.S. Concert Tours of Ballet Philippines and the John Van de Steen Male Choir, both of which are slated in October 2020.

The officers, who are mostly accomplished professionals in their field, offered their assistance in projects where they could collaborate with the Consulate General. END
