PH Embassy in Moscow to Showcase PH Coffee, Tea, Cacao at Top Russian Trade Show

MOSCOW 13 March 2020 – The Philippine Embassy in Moscow announced on 10 March 2020 its participation in Russia’s top coffee, tea, and cacao trade show for 2020.
“For the first time, the Philippines, through the Embassy, will have an exhibit at this year’s Coffee, Tea, Cacao Expo in Russia, the biggest gathering of buyers and sellers of these products in Russia, Eastern Europe, and the former Soviet Union,” said Philippine Ambassador to Russia Carlos D. Sorreta. “We will showcase our world-class and award-winning products at the Philippine exhibit,” the Ambassador added.
The Coffee, Tea, Cacao Russian Expo will be from 12 to 14 March 2020 at Moscow’s Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center and is organized by the Russian Association of Tea and Coffee.
This year, the trade expo will place additional emphasis on cacao and cacao products given the increasing demand in Russia and its related markets. “We welcome the increased emphasis on cacao and cacao products at this year’s Expo. Philippine chocolate has been garnering praise and winning awards internationally and it is our belief that it is time to bring these excellent products to the attention of Russian chocolate importers and retailers,” said Ambassador Sorreta.
Coffee Tea Cacao Russian Expo is the key event for the coffee, tea, and cacao industry in Russia and nearby economies. Aside from exhibits, the expo will feature a conference program, educational seminars, master classes, tastings, and professional competitions for barista, roasters and tea masters. Over 6,000 industry professionals are expected to attend, including importers, wholesalers and retailers. Bloggers and social media influencers on food and beverages are also expected to attend, aside from the general public.
Many of the products to be displayed at the Philippine booth were obtained through the generous cooperation of Philippine coffee, tea ,and cacao producers and industry associations. END
