PORT MORESBY 17 March 2020 – Philippine Ambassador to Papua New Guinea Bienvenido V. Tejano presented his credentials to Solomon Islands Governor-General David Vunagi as non-resident Ambassador to the Solomon Islands on 05 March 2020.

Ambassador Tejano conveyed to the Governor-General the greetings and best wishes of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the people of the Solomon Islands. Discussion on several issues of common interests took place after.

While in the Solomon Islands, Ambassador Tejano paid a courtesy call on Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare. Ambassador Tejano and Prime Minister Sogavare expressed their common goals to further strengthen ties between the Philippines and the Solomon Islands.

Ambassador Tejano’s stay in the Solomon Islands was also highlighted by a meeting and dialogue with the Filipino community. He reminded the community to immediately get in touch with the Philippine Embassy in Port Moresby should they need any assistance. END
