ASEAN Committee in Oslo Welcomes Two New Ambassadors

OSLO 19 March 2020 – The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Committee in Oslo (ACO) welcomed two new members during its 37th Meeting, the ACO’s first for the year, on 05 March 2020.
The two new members are Thai Ambassador to Norway Karntimon Ruksakiati, who likewise chaired the Meeting, and Vietnamese Ambassador to Norway Le Hong Lam. Both Ambassadors appreciated the ACO’s warm reception and looked forward to continuing the close cooperation among ASEAN embassies in Norway.
The Meeting discussed recent developments of mutual concern, particularly efforts in Norway to combat the spread of COVID-19 disease, and initiatives to promote ASEAN awareness among Norwegians.
Aside from the embassies of the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam in Norway, the ACO is also comprised of the embassies of Indonesia and Myanmar. END
