PH Ambassador to Canada Attends Women Heads of Missions Luncheon in Ottawa, Annual Winter Diplomatic Reception

OTTAWA 20 March 2020 – Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia attended the luncheon in honor of Women Heads of Missions in Ottawa hosted by Governor General Julie Payette held on 11 March 2020 at Rideau Hall.
The luncheon coincides with the worldwide and month-long celebration of Women’s Month for calendar year 2020.
Ambassador Garcia also attended the annual Winter Diplomatic Reception at Rideau Hall hosted by Governor General Julie Payette on 10 March 2020. The event also introduced guests to traditional Canadian winter activities around the Rideau Hall.
Before being invested as Canada’s 29th Governor General in October 2017, and consequently Head of State, Governor General Julie Payette was an engineer, scientific broadcaster, corporate director, and astronaut by profession. Rideau Hall is the official residence of the Governor General of Canada. END
