DUBAI 07 January 2020 — In observance of the Philippine government’s 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), the Philippine Consulate General conducted on 12 December 2019 a seminar on the relevant international and Philippine laws protecting women against all forms of violence.

Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymund P. Cortes encouraged those who attended the seminar to be staunch advocates of anti-VAW and continue to create an environment where rights of women are respected and upheld. Consul General Cortes further emphasized that the commitment each member of the community to end VAW should not be confined within the 18-day, but rather must be observed at all times.  He encouraged the participants to take an oath as their contribution to a VAW-free community.
