JEDDAH 17 December 2019 — Philippine Consul General to Jeddah Edgar B. Badajos met with National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) officials led by Secretary Saidamen B. Pangarungan during their visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to attend the Annual Hajj Conference in Makkah, KSA on 16 December 2019.
The Philippine Consulate General in Jeddah invited some Filipino Muslim Community leaders in Jeddah to the meeting to discuss issues related to the Hajj pilgrimage next year. During the meeting, Secretary Pangarungan said that the NCMF expects around 7,500 Hajj pilgrims next year compared to 6,900 this year.
Consul General Badajos assured Secretary Pangarungan of the Consulate’s assistance to the NCMF and the pilgrims to ensure the success of next year’s pilgrimage. END
