PH Embassy in Hanoi Conducts Basic Self Defense Class in Ho Chi Minh City

HANOI 18 December 2019 — The Philippine Embassy in Hanoi organized a Basic Self Defense class for members of the Filipino community in Ho Chi Minh City on 15 December 2019 at Huong Sen Hotel. The event, which is part of the Embassy's Gender and Development (GAD) program, focused on the basic strikes and movements of self defense.

Mixed Martial Arts coach Rocel Catalan demonstrated different techniques of self defense in dangerous situations, which all participants found useful. She also stressed the importance and benefits of learning self defense to a person's emotional, physical, and mental well-being. END
