PH Charge d’affaires in Damascus Calls On Armenian Catholic Archbishop in Aleppo

ALEPPO 02 January 2020 — Charge d’affaires e.p. and Consul General to Aleppo Alex V. Lamadrid paid a courtesy call on Archbishop of the Armenian Catholic Church and Archdiocese of Jazirah and Euphrates Archbishop Botros Marayati, during his visit to Aleppo City on 05 December 2019.

Charge d’affaires Lamadrid and Archbishop Marayati exchanged views on current developments in the Catholic Church in the Philippines and Syria.

Archbishop Marayati informed Charge d’affaires Lamadrid of the Archdiocese’s ongoing reconstruction projects, orphanages, schools, dispensaries and home for the aged for which they help provide essential needs. 

At the end of the call, Charge d’affaires e.p. Lamadrid presented Archbishop Marayati with Philippine souvenirs and extended an invitation to the national day reception to be held in Aleppo next year. END
