Overseas Voting Registration for the 2022 PH Presidential Elections Kicks Off

DUBAI 02 January 2020 — The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates has begun the Overseas Voting Registration for Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates for the 2022 Philippine National and Local Elections on 12 December 2019. On the first day of registration, the Consulate registered 271 new overseas voters.
Qualified Filipino citizens abroad, at least 18 years of age on 09 May 2022 (Election Day), may file their applications for registration at the Consulate from Sunday to Thursday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM (except legal holidays).
To register, all applicants must personally appear at the Consulate for biometrics capturing and bring the following requirements: 1) photocopy of valid passport or if dual citizen; or 2) copy of Oath of Allegiance or Proof of Philippine citizenship from the Bureau of Immigration for dual Filipino citizens; and 3) copy of Seaman's Book for seafarers.
Philippine Consul General to Dubai and the Northern Emirates Paul Raymund P. Cortes urges all qualified Filipinos to register early and exercise their right of suffrage in the forthcoming Presidential elections. Overseas voting registration will run from 16 December 2019 to 30 September 2021. END
