PH Consulate General in Macau Celebrates Paskong Pinoy 2019 with FilCom

MACAU 20 December 2019 – The Philippine Consulate General in Macau hosted the annual celebration of Paskong Pinoy sa Macau with the Filipino Community at the Sofitel Ponte 16 Macau last 01 December 2019. This year’s theme was “Himig at Indakan Ngayong Kapaskuhan – Maki-kanta at maki-sayaw sa iba’t ibang lingguwahe ng kapaskuhan sa Macau”.

A total of 600 attendees participated in the event. Community members prepared various intermission numbers and Jollibee performed for the attendees and provided raffle prizes as well.

Commission on Elections’ (COMELEC) spokesperson Director James Arthur Jimenez who also graced the event, notified the attendees on the COMELEC Resolution no. 10619 and informed that for the purposes of the 09 May 2022 elections and the registration period for overseas voting will be held from 16 December 2019 to 30 September 2021.

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine Social Security System (SSS), Pag-Ibig Fund and Caritas Macau co-sponsored the event. Filipino global brands such as Jollibee, Banco De Oro (BDO) Remit, Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Smart Freebee, PayRemit, and Goldilocks also supported the event. Other sponsors were SmarTone, China Telecom, Afreight, OWTEL, Healthy Living Beauty Center and Java Green Coffee. END
