DAMASCUS 08 January 2020 — In celebration of the HIV/AIDS Awareness Month, the Philippine Embassy in Damascus, conducted a seminar on HIV/AIDS awareness on 22 December 2019 at the Embassy Chancery.
Resource speaker of the event Dr. Bayan Al Amine briefed the attendees on the importance of HIV/AIDS awareness, as well as provided a detailed lecture on the means of preventing them.
A total of 92 participants composed of the Philippine Embassy personnel, members of the Filipino community, and wards of the Filipino Workers Resource Center wherein 82 were female and 10 were male, attended the event.
After the lecture, a moderated open forum (Question & Answer) with Dr. Al Amine ensued, which enlightened participants regarding their concerns about HIV/AIDS. END
