PH Embassy in Tel-Aviv Commences Overseas Voter Registration
PHOTO: Israel’s first registrant Imelda C. Javier from Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija applied for reactivation of her voter status. She registered in 2014, but was deactivated after being unable to cast her vote in two consecutive elections. As a first-time Oversea Filipino Worker (OFW), Javier arrived in Israel on 2015 to work as a caregiver. Prior to her employment in Israel, she was a full-time housewife in the Philippines. Photo shows the second registrant Anabelle S. Cunanan, also a native of Nueva Ecija, who has been based in Israel for more than three years. Cunanan applied for certification to transfer her registration from the Philippines to Israel in order to be eligible to vote in the 2022 presidential elections. Prior to arriving in Israel, Cunanan used to work as a secretary in a law office in the Philippines. (Tel-Aviv PE photo)
