04 July 2013 – Filipino Artist Noel “Bote” Bautista opened his second solo exhibit at the Lobby-Gallery of the Philippine Center in New York on July 02.
Dubbed “Enigma”, Bautista’s latest works feature intricately crafted pieces using wood panels, pegboards, glass, wire, paint and other industrial materials.
A Washington State based caregiver and sculptor, Bautista had his first solo exhibit also at the Philippine Center in 2010. His art is largely shaped by his hometown of Taal, Batangas and his work as a caregiver.
The artist holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Lyceum of the Philippines and is currently working on a coffee table book that showcases his personal art collection.
Noel Bautista likewise turned over five works from his latest collection to the Philippine Center New York Art Collection. The donation was received by Consul General and Vice Chair of the Philippine Center Management Board Mario L. de Leon, Jr. and witnessed by Philippine Center Manager and Deputy Consul General Theresa Dizon-de Vega.
"Enigma" is on display until Friday, July 12, at the Philippine Center. END
