LOS ANGELES 13 April 2020 – In keeping with its economic diplomacy program in this time of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles participated in a webinar entitled “Global Responses to COVID-19: A Conversation with the Consuls of Canada and South Korea” on 08 April 2020.
The webinar is part of a series of discussions on COVID-19 responses and experiences by governments around the world. Key topics discussed during the webinar include the expected economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and how the participating governments are preparing for it.
The webinar was jointly hosted by the Los Angeles World Affairs Council (LAWAC) and the World Trade Center Los Angeles (WTC LA) and was moderated by WTC LA President Stephen Cheung and joined in by Consuls Taehoon Ku and Thierry Wissenburger of South Korea and Canada, respectively. The Philippine Consulate General was represented by Consul Rea Oreta. END
