PH Consulate General in San Francisco Releases Tribute Video for Vulnerable Sectors of Filcom during COVID-19 Pandemic

SAN FRANCISCO 20 April 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco put together a video dedicated to the most vulnerable members of the Filipino-American community, particularly the elderly and front liners, amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The video featured the original composition of Musical Director Abelardo Ingan, Jr.’s, “Just Say the Word”, sang by Tourism Director Soleil Tropicales. Mr. Ingan has over 30 years of experience in teaching music, conducting choirs and orchestras, composing, and arranging songs.
The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, led by Philippine Consul General to San Francisco Henry S. Bensurto, Jr., through the said initiative, aimed to uplift the spirit of the most vulnerable, such as the senior members of Filipino-American community in the Bay Area and in all states under the Consulate’s jurisdiction, as well as the Filipino-American front liners.
“We hope that our elderly would stay strong and healthy amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and through the video, feel that they have a family and a community that think of them in these difficult times,” said Consul General Bensurto.
