PH Consulate General in Los Angeles Joins Webinar on COVID-19: Global Economic Fallout

LOS ANGELES 27 April 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles participated in a webinar entitled “COVID-19: Global Economic Fallout” hosted by the Asia Society of Southern California on 21 April 2020.

Discussants were notable investment experts Howard Marks, Weijian Shan and John Emerson, who all shared their insights on the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic on the global economy, as well as their forecast on the trajectory of the economic recovery of the United States, China and Europe.

American publisher and Asia Society Executive Director Jonathan Karp moderated the panel discussion.

Representing the Consulate General in the webinar were Political and Economic Officer Consul Rea G. Oreta and Information Officer Mary Grace Leaño, who joined about 550 other participants from 25 countries across four continents.
