The Cebuano Association of Hawaii, Inc., is an organization under the umbrella of the Congress of Visayan Organizations (COVO). The event celebrates the revitalization of COVO and CAH, and aims to strengthen the Filipinos as a political force in Hawaii. In his speech, Governor Abercrombie praised COVO’s leadership in unifying Filipinos of various regional origins, and paid homage to the fact that the first Sacadas to Hawaii in 1900s came from Cebu.
