MANAMA 15 May 2020 – The Philippine Embassy in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, in its commitment to continue extending assistance to Filipino nationals in Bahrain during the COVID-19 crisis, delivered basic supplies to ten quarantined Filipinos at the Sitra Quarantine Facility on 12 May 2020. The supplies consisted of food packs, toiletries, water, and vitamins requested by the quarantined nationals.

The Sitra Quarantine Facility was set up by the Bahrain government to shelter individuals under monitoring for COVID-19. The Embassy is in regular contact with the quarantined Filipinos through phone and online messaging to check their condition.

Due to stringent restrictions imposed, the Embassy also delivers basic supplies to other Filipino nationals in Bahrain quarantined at their company accommodations and private residences. END
