PH Embassy in Los Angeles Participates in Livestream Discussion on “Innovation and Preparation for Uncertain Future”

LOS ANGELES 21 May 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles participated in a livestream discussion entitled “Innovation and Preparation for an Uncertain Future: A Conversation with the Consul General of Israel, Hillel Newman” on 13 May 2020.

The webinar is part of a series of livestream discussions arranged by the Los Angeles World Affairs Council and Townhall Center (LAWAC&TC), and the World Trade Center-Los Angeles (WTC-LA). WTC-LA President Stephen Cheung moderated the discussion while LAWAC Chief Executive Officer Kim McCleary Blue facilitated the question and answer portion that followed the main event.

Israeli Consul General to Los Angeles Hillel Newman shared Israel’s best practices in its COVID-19 response through taking full advantage of science and advanced technology, updates on the state of relations between the United States and Israel, as well as his insight on how COVID-19 will shape the post-pandemic world order.

Consul Rea G. Oreta and Information Officer Mary Grace “Joss” Leaño attended the livestream on behalf of the Consulate General.
