PH Consulate General to Los Angeles Briefs Fil-Am Community in Las Vegas in an Online Interview

LOS ANGELES 28 May 2020 – In an effort to keep the Filipino-American community in Las Vegas informed and connected, Philippine Consul General to Los Angeles Adelio Angelito S. Cruz appeared for an online live interview with PHLV Radio Las Vegas on 21 May 2020 with Ms. Jennifer Kho, host of the Bahay Negosyo Atbp. segment of said radio station.

Consul General Cruz explained, among others, the Consulate General’s current work-from-home operations in compliance with the “Safer-at-Home” Order implemented by the City of Los Angeles; updates on consular policies, including the implementation of the Apostille Convention for legalization of documents and procedures in applying for dual citizenship; as well as ways through which Filipinos and Filipino-Americans can reach the Consulate General during an emergency.

Consul General Cruz also reminded our kababayan to stay safe in the midst of the reopening of Nevada’s economy.  He encouraged listeners to visit the Consulate General’s official website and Facebook page for timely and relevant information on COVID-19-related developments that impact the Filipino-American community in Southern Nevada, including measures being implemented by the Philippine government.

Joining the Consul General during the live online interview were Assistance-to-Nationals Officer Judelyn M. Cuaresma and Information Officer Mary Grace “Joss” Leaño.

The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles exercises consular jurisdiction over the Counties of Clark, Lincoln and Nye in Southern Nevada. END
