PH Embassy, Caritas Au Pair Center Conduct Online Information Briefing for Filipino Au Pairs in Norway

OSLO 03 June 2020 – The Philippine Embassy in Oslo, in cooperation with the Caritas Au Pair Center-Norway, conducted an online information briefing for Filipino au pairs, to discuss the issues and challenges experienced by Filipino au pairs amid the COVID-19 crisis in Norway on 22 May 2020.

During the online information briefing, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Christiansen Cabahug, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Josel Mostajo, and Caritas Au Pair Center Project Manager Anne Nogva, provided relevant information and updates for au pairs including their rights given the COVID-19 situation and the assistance that the Embassy and the Caritas Au Pair Center may extend to them.

Ms. Anne Nogva reminded that the au pairs are entitled to holiday pay and should only perform light household chores following the au pair contract. Vice Consuls Cabahug and Mostajo encouraged the Filipino au pairs to contact and send their queries and requests for assistance to the Embassy via:
