PH Consul General to Los Angeles Speaks on Planned Reopening of the PH Consulate General

LOS ANGELES 05 June 2020 – In preparation for the planned reopening of the Philippine Consulate General’s services to the public by mid-June, Philippine Consul General to Los Angeles Adelio Angelito S. Cruz graced anew the online radio show of PHLV Radio Las Vegas host Ms. Jennifer Kho on 03 June 2020.

During the segment of Bahay Negosyo Atbp., Consul General Cruz announced that the resumption of services will have modifications, in accordance with the local health guidelines, in order to protect the health of the public and the Consulate General’s personnel. To strictly observe physical distancing, services that require physical presence will be by appointment only while other services may be done through mail. All clients shall also be required to wear facial covering upon entering the office’s premises.

An Advisory providing details of the procedures shall be posted in advance on the Consulate General’s official website and Facebook page.

As expressions of outrage over the death of African-American George Floyd in Minneapolis, rage across the United States, Consul General Cruz cautioned our kababayan to exercise vigilance and avoid areas of protests where violence is reported.

Joining the Consul General were Assistance-to-Nationals Officer Judelyn M. Cuaresma, who provided a snapshot on the testing and quarantine protocols for arriving Overseas Filipinos in the Philippines; and Information Officer Mary Grace “Joss” Leaño, who encouraged the listeners to keep themselves abreast on the operations of the Consulate General by following its official website and Facebook page.
