 Temasek Foundation Donates 100 Oxygen Concentrators for In Support of PH’s COVID-19 Response

PASAY CITY 29 June 2020 – The Temasek Foundation donated 100 oxygen concentrators to various local government hospitals in the Philippines in aid of the country’s COVID-19 response. The said donation is in addition to the 200 units of COVID-19 diagnostic kits (equivalent to 40,000 tests) and two ventilators donated by the Foundation last March 2020.

The oxygen concentrators arrived in the Philippines on 20 June, cleared by Customs on 22 June, and were turned over on 25 June to the various recipients such as the Department of Health (DOH) which received 40 oxygen concentrators and local government hospitals in Quezon City, Manila, and Davao which received 20 oxygen concentrators each.

An oxygen concentrator is a medical-grade non-invasive breathing aid that is useful in treating COVID-19 patients with respiratory conditions.

Temasek Foundation is the non-profit organization under the philanthropic arm of Temasek Holdings, Singapore’s state sovereign fund. END
