PH Consulate General in Macau Celebrates 122nd PH Independence

MACAU 20 June 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR, China, and its attached agencies celebrated the 122nd Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence with a flag-raising ceremony on 12 June 2020, followed by the reading of the Independence Day message of Philippine President Rodrigo R. Duterte and showing of the Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr.’s video message. Photo op and a simple breakfast followed the ceremony.
Banco de Oro (BDO) Remit-Macau representatives Mr. Rodrigo C. Mordido, Mr. Eric Ayson, and Mr. Ildebrando R. Regulano also joined the celebration.
Moreover, a dedicated mass was held on 19 June 2020 at St. Augustine Church officiated by Father Oliver D. Estor, SOLT, Pastoral Care for Filipino Migrants, attended by some members of the Filipino community.
Refrigerator magnets, with the theme, “Towards a Free, United and Safe Nation” were distributed to the attendees after the mass to pay tribute to Filipino frontliners in this time of COVID-19 crisis. BDO Remit representatives also give away eco-friendly reusable grocery bags. END
