29 April 2014 - The Philippine Embassy in Berlin composed of Consul Adrian Cruz, Ms. Melinda Hernais, Ms. Lianna Judith Sale and Ms. Rowena Adaya conducted a mobile consular outreach service in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg on April 25.
Using a pre-registration system, Filipino applicants arrived early at the Dekra Office where the Philippine Honorary Consulate General is located, and which also served as venue for the consular operations.
The team facilitated 144 passport applications, 17 authentication and notarial services and 6 civil registrations. The team noted that there were passport applications that were accepted from Filipinos from different regions in Germany.
The four-member consular team were ably assisted by Ms. Cecille Joy Atienza-Krause of the Office of the Philippine Honorary Consul General. Philippine Ambassador to Germany Maria Cleofe R. Natividad expressed her appreciation to Prof. Dr.-Ing Gerhard Zeidler, the Philippine Honorary Consul General for Baden-Württemberg and Hesse, and to DEKRA e.V., for providing the venue for the outreach.
The one-day activity was the Embassy’s second consular outreach for the year following the one held in Hamburg in March 2014. It was also the second time since last year that the Philippine Embassy conducted a mobile outreach in the state of Baden-Württemberg, which has the second highest concentration of overseas Filipinos in Germany.
Six consular outreach activities have been planned for 2014, which will cover the cities of Hamburg, Stuttgart, Bonn, Frankfurt, Munich and Essen. The mobile outreach is part of the Philippine Embassy’s efforts to bring its consular services closer to Filipinos residing in different parts of Germany. The next consular outreach will take place in Bonn on 12 July 2014. END
