ATHENS 10 July 2020 – The Philippine Embassy in Athens sent a Consular team to conduct a Consular Outreach for Filipinos in Cyprus from 04 to 07 July 2020.

The Consular Outreach was held at the Evropi, Danae and Nefeli Meeting Rooms in Semeli Hotel, 10 Petraki Yiallourou St., Nicosia 1077, Cyprus.

During the four-day Consular Outreach, the Embassy’s consular team, led by Philippine Embassy in Athens Chargé d’ Affaires Rosario P. Lemque, processed 398 applications for passport renewal; two applications for Lost Passport; one application for Travel Document; four applications for Acknowledgment (Special Power of Attorney); three application forms for NBI clearance and fingerprinting;  three applications for Report of Birth; four applications for Affidavit (Jurat); and two applications for Certification. 

The Consular team also released 331 passports and one Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage.

In line with the existing regulations and conditions set by the Cypriot government due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Embassy strictly abided by the set of rules on mass gatherings and observed the required physical distancing indoors among the Embassy personnel and consular applicants, including the wearing of facial masks, face shield, and regular use of disinfectant.
