PH Consul General to Guangzhou, CCPIT–Hunan Vice Chairman Meet to Further Enhance Economic, Investments Relations

GUANGZHOU 21 July 2020 – Philippine Consul General to Guangzhou Marshall Louis M. Alferez met with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) – Hunan Vice Chairman Wu Dengguo on 15 July 2020 and discussed ways to reinvigorate economic and investments cooperation between the Philippines and Hunan in the fields of agriculture, new energy, environmental protection, infrastructure and railway construction.
Consul General Alferez highlighted prospects of broader cooperation, particularly on hybrid rice production, deepening sister-province ties, investments in infrastructure and railroad construction, and trade, among others.
Stressing the need for closer collaboration in two-way investments in infrastructure development and construction, agriculture, and trade, Consul General Alferez and Vice Chairman Wu agreed to continue engagement through meaningful meetings and possible exchange of visits of officials after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vice Chairman Wu extended his invitation for Consul General Alferez to visit Hunan and to participate in future major exhibitions. END
