CALGARY 21 July 2020 – After being unable to conduct its once-a-month Saturday consular service from March to June 2020 due to the province of Alberta’s declaration of public health emergency related to COVID-19 pandemic, the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary resumed its Saturday consular service on 18 July 2020 and processed a total of 67 in-person passport renewal applications that day. 

The Consulate General has announced that it will conduct two Saturday consular services per month from July to October 2020 to accommodate more passport applicants.  

The rest of the Saturday consular services will be on the following dates: 25 July 2020; 08 and 15 August 2020; 19 and 26 September 2020; and 17 and 24 October 2020. 

The Consulate General will go back to its regular once-a-month Saturday consular service on 21 November and 19 December 2020.

In compliance with physical distancing and other public health measures still in place in Alberta due to COVID-19, the Consulate General is accepting in-person applications only for passport renewal. All other consular services are accepted and released by mail. END
