PH Ambassador to Brunei Conveys Warm Greetings on Sultan Of Brunei’s 74th Birth Anniversary

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 15 July 2020 – Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Christopher B. Montero conveyed the warmest greetings and wishes of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the Filipino people on the occasion of the 74thBirthday Anniversary of His Majesty Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on 15 July 2020.
Ambassador Montero’s video message was aired on national network Radio Television Brunei (RTB) and in its social media platforms.
In his video greeting, the Ambassador expressed the admiration of the Filipino community in Brunei Darussalam for His Majesty’s “inspiring leadership and benevolent wisdom in taking decisive actions to effectively contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic and in implementing a robust strategy to return to our daily lives under what is now called the ‘new normal’”.
He also conveyed the Philippine Government’s sincere appreciation for His Majesty’s unwavering support to lasting peace in Southern Philippines, and the generous hospitality accorded to the more than 20,000-strong Filipino community in the Sultanate. END
