PH Consulate General in Xiamen Joins 122nd DFA Foundation Anniversary Virtual Celebration

XIAMEN 30 July 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen led by Acting Head of Post, Vice Consul Elaine Mae V. Laruan-Hernandez, joined the historic live-streaming of the 122nd Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) founding anniversary virtual celebration on 23 July 2020 held at the Bulwagang Bayan/Heroes Hall in Manila, Philippines.
The Consulate General utilized various online platforms to keep up with the challenges and limitations with online accessibilities in order to participate in the said virtual celebration.
The Consulate General was cited and given recognition for its Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) work and five personnel were among the Loyalty Awardees recognized for their selfless and dedicated service.
The Consulate General is adapting to the “new normal” and taking advantage of technology to respond and deliver better public service.
The event coincided with the birthday of Apolinario Mabini, the first Secretary of Foreign Affairs.
