VIENNA 05 August 2020 – The Philippine Embassy and Permanent Mission in Vienna inaugurated its newly renovated Consular Section with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Ambassador Maria Cleofe R. Natividad on 21 July 2020.  A blessing of the Chancery officiated by Fr. Dominic O’Toole, CSsR, also marked the occasion.

The installation of tempered glass windows and wooden panels at the consular counter and the consequent expansion of the consular waiting area were largely prompted by health and security concerns amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Underscoring that the safety and comfort of personnel and clients are paramount, Ambassador Natividad expressed the hope that the enhanced visual appeal of the office configuration will “improve workflow and provide a more welcoming atmosphere for client engagement.”

The Philippine Embassy in Vienna resumed its full service consular operations on 01 July 2020 on a by-appointment basis. END
