02 May 2014- Consul John Reyes led a team from the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles that conducted a two-day consular outreach program in National City, California from April 26 to 27.
The consular outreach program was undertaken in cooperation with the Council of the Philippine American Organizations of San Diego County, Inc. (COPAO).
The Consulate was able to process 225 electronic passport (e-Passport) applications, including applications for replacement of lost passport, during the outreach program.
A total of 327 consular services were rendered, the breakdown of which is as follows:
Consul Reyes was accompanied by Misses Ana Leilani Bea and Marie Ople, and Messrs. Hilario Villamin, Mindaradat Mamad and Marvin Samonte.
The consular outreach program is a regular activity of the Consulate General to bring its various services closer to its constituents residing in areas within its jurisdiction. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, there are 180,770 Filipinos in the San Diego County area. END
