5 July 2013 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that the official launch of the Bangkok ASEAN Art and Culture Festival (BAAF) was held on June 26 at the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre (BACC).
The Festival is organized to promote arts and cultural dialogue among the people, artists and various organizations in ASEAN as well as to foster better understanding and collaboration towards the upcoming integration of the ASEAN Community in 2015. BAAF will act as a platform for ASEAN arts and cultural collaboration. The BACC, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Office of the Contemporary Art and Culture of the Ministry of Culture organized the festival.
The Festival starts this month and will end in 2014. It will include art exhibitions, music, dance, theatre, cinema, lectures and workshops by noted cultural doyens from the 10 ASEAN countries.
