VIENNA 14 August 2020 – The Philippine Embassy in Vienna joined Philippine Embassies in Belgium, Germany, and The Hague, and overseas Filipinos throughout Europe for a “Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan” (TNK) online seminar on 08 August 2020.
Organized by the Philippine Trade and Investment Centers (PTIC) in Berlin and Brussels, the seminar featured Philippine franchise owners and industry leaders who offered practical insights into the potential of Philippine franchises for investment, particularly in the food, retail, and services sectors. While acknowledging that the COVID-19 pandemic has led to unprecedented economic uncertainty for most Filipinos, the speakers were optimistic that franchising could provide a possible framework for personal economic recovery and growth to overseas Filipinos seeking to augment their income sources or to invest their savings.
For her part, Philippine Ambassador to Austria Maria Cleofe R. Natividad urged our kababayans to seize Philippine franchising opportunities amid the COVID-19 crisis, expressing hope that they may expand their horizons and learn new and innovative ways of earning or investing–first, as a way towards greater financial security, and eventually, as a means to help the community, be it in the Philippines or in their host countries.
The seminar, which was live-streamed on PTIC’s Facebook accounts, garnered more than 2,000 views. END
