PH Embassy in Tripoli Thanks IOM Livelihood Assistance to Distressed OFW

The Philippine Embassy in Libya has expressed its appreciation to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for the livelihood assistance extended to a Filipino trafficking victim who was repatriated from Tripoli in February. The Filipino, who availed himself of the IOM Voluntary Humanitarian Returns Program, received start-up capital for a food cart business in his neighborhood in the Philippines. He is one of eight Filipinos repatriated from Tripoli through the Voluntary Humanitarian Returns Program of the IOM.
