OTTAWA 02 September 2020 – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, together with the Philippine Consulates General in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto, actively campaigned among Filipino immigrants to Canada to pursue entrepreneurship ventures, partly in response to the hurdles on their academic and work experience qualifications set by Canadian regulations.
With the Filipino diaspora consistently increasing in numbers and almost breaching the one million mark across Canada, Filipino entrepreneurs find a welcome market within the Filipino community as they establish food and grocery businesses, among others.
A new pizza outlet called "Grab N' Eat by H&B" recently opened in Ottawa on 08 August 2020 by two Filipino proprietors, Mr. Harvey Gaso and Mr. Brian Lituania. The pizza restaurant is located at 2916 Carling Avenue, Ottawa in what is traditionally referred to as the West End of the capital. They look forward to serving the Filipino diaspora in the Ottawa-Gatineau national capital region with their popular pizzas, burgers, and chicken wings.
