06 May 2014 -  The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Dubai and Northern Emirates opens its doors to the Filinvestors Movement as it introduces its advocacy in promoting “The Philippines is Rising” to the Filipino Community in Dubai.

The event held last April 25 at the Consulate General premises was attended by Vice Consul Geronimo Suliguin, who welcomed the group led by Mr. Maynard Portugal, Regional Director for Filinvest International. Pioneers of the movement, Mr. Ringgo Anacan and Mr. Edferlon Quintero, conducted a short talk underscoring the many reasons why now is the best time to be a Filipino.

According to the videos, images and presentations made, the Philippines and its people continue to develop, with the Filipinos becoming more globally competitive, thus contributing to the improvement of the economy.

Images of the country’s top tourist destinations, cultural activities and various festivities that Filipinos could be very proud of were also featured as a way to further encourage the community to step up its promotion of the Philippines’ best amidst the crisis and issues facing the country at present.
