PH Embassy in Tripoli Repatriates 109 Filipinos from Algeria

PHOTO: A total of 109 Filipinos working for Hyundai Engineering Corporation, Samsung Construction and Trading, and Daewoo Engineering and Construction in Algeria are now in the Philippines following their repatriation on 12 September 2020. The repatriation was facilitated by the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli, which arranged a chartered aircraft that brought the Filipino workers to Tunis where they were welcomed by Philippine Honorary Consul General Sonia Ayed before boarding a commercial flight to Manila. This was the second repatriation of Filipino workers from Algeria. In June, the Embassy repatriated 227 Filipinos from Algeria, 70 from Libya, and 15 from Tunisia. (Tripoli PE photo)
