ISTANBUL 16 September 2020 – The Philippine Consulate General in Istanbul, represented by Consul and Acting Head of Post Lorena Joy Banagodos and translator Ms. Neriman Secen, called on the Head of the International Protection Group Serap Ozgul Erdem and the Directorate General for Migration Management (DGMM) in Cannakale Migration Expert Funda Duygulu to establish contact and gather information on Filipinos in the province of Cannakale on 04 September 2020.
The Consulate noted a small presence of Filipinos residing and working in the area, including residence and work permit holders such as English tutors and nannies, students on scholarship, and notably, fish technology experts employed in the tuna company, Dardanel, a big employer in the Cannakale Province.
